As a Food Service Dishwasher at Monterey Bay Aquarium, working as a member of the SSA Group team, you will help maintain the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen to ensure smooth operations. Your efforts will support our goal of providing an unforgettable experience for every guest.

What You Will Do Each Day

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment and manual cleaning methods.

• Ensure a steady supply of clean dishware and kitchen tools to support front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including proper hand-washing and use of cleaning chemicals.

• Keep dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.

• Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal as needed.

• Support kitchen staff by helping with basic prep tasks when assigned.

• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Actively support the team by assisting in other areas during busy periods or when needed.

• Respond promptly to supervisor instructions and communicate any issues with equipment or workflow.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of all clean items to maintain quality and safety standards.

• Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform and hygiene requirements.

• Help uphold a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
