About the Job

TORQ Coatings is a new concrete coating company launching in Chicagoland. We’re hiring 5–6 installers to start in February, with plans to add new crews every month as we grow.

This role is for people who want more than just a job. You’ll learn a skilled trade, work in a new environment daily, and be part of a team that delivers high-quality floor transformations, often completed in just one day.

No college required. No prior floor coating experience required. Training provided.

Positions Available

- We are hiring for Assistant Technicians and Lead Technicians.

- Placement is based on experience, attitude, willingness to lead, and how fast you pick up install techniques.

Assistant Technician

- Assist with prep, installation, and cleanup

- Learn tools, materials, and install process hands-on

- Grow into higher responsibility over time

Lead Technician

- Lead a crew and own the job outcome

- Set pace, quality, and professionalism on-site

- Communicate with customers and solve problems in real time

- Train and develop assistant technicians

- Hard workers who step up move fast

What You’ll Be Doing

- Install residential and some commercial concrete floor coatings

- Work hands-on with tools and equipment

- Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites

- Communicate professionally with homeowners

- Take pride in quality work done right the first time

Pay & Schedule

- $19–$22/hour Assistant Technician

- $23–$30/hour Lead Technician Base hourly pay + performance incentives

- 4-day work week standard

- Optional 5th day available for extra income

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time

- Ability to work in various weather conditions

- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs independently and heavier loads with assistance

- Ability to work in dusty or dirty environments while properly using required PPE
