Accounting Assistant

Joe Taylor Restoration is hiring an Accounting Assistant in Delray Beach, Florida. Pay is $23 to $25 per hour. We need someone with an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and two plus years in an accounting support role, ideally with general ledger exposure. You will spend your days in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and small claims filings on unpaid invoices.

• You are a clear communicator who can call a vendor about a billing discrepancy and leave them satisfied.

• You are steady under a deadline and can carry several priorities without dropping one.

• You bring working knowledge of GAAP and the small claims process.

• You bring experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system, plus intermediate to advanced Excel.

• Our accounting team supports the field side of the business, from vendor billing through collections.

What You Will Do Each Day:

• Process, record, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Record customer payments, credit memos, and invoice transfers in NetSuite, and cover teammates when they are out.

• Prepare, submit, and track small claims filings for unpaid receivables.

• Contact vendors, customers, and internal staff about billing, payments, and account discrepancies.

• Support month end and year end close, including general ledger reconciliations.

• Build reports and supporting schedules for the finance team.
