Warehouse Manager

About the Role

Peacock Floors is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to support our warehouse operations each morning. Working alongside the General Manager, you will help dispatch installers, receive and stage materials, manage inventory, and keep the warehouse and yard clean and organized. This is a hands-on, part-time role with room to grow.

Schedule and Pay

• Part-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

• $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

Morning Dispatch and Yard

• Assist the General Manager with morning dispatch, including loading installers.

• Keep the area outside the warehouse clean and organized.

• Walk the yard each day to check for cleanliness and address any issues.

Receiving and Inventory

• Receive carpet and pad deliveries.

• Count quantities received and create inventory tags.

• Put away carpet and pad after it is received.

• Photograph any damaged materials.

• Assist with managing claims.

• Follow the Floorzap workflow process.

Staging

• Assist the General Manager in staging carpet, pad, and hard surface materials, and report anything that is missing.

• Use the Dispatch Report to stage pad cuts, tape rolls, and write the work order number on each roll.

Warehouse Upkeep

• Assist the General Manager with cleaning inside the warehouse.

• Notify the General Manager when warehouse supplies are running low, such as pad, cage supplies, or propane.

Team Support and Communication

• Assist the General Manager with morning meetings and the install roster to prep for upcoming projects, run safety check-ins, and debrief completed work.

• Maintain clear, prompt daily communication with the General Manager, clients, vendors, and the installation roster by phone, text, and email.

• Assist the General Manager with other duties as the business requires.

What We Are Looking For

• Forklift experience required.

• Forklift certification preferred.

• Positive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow.

• Previous flooring experience is a plus, though not required.

• Reliable and able to start early at 7:00 AM.

• Able to pass a pre-employment background check.
