Snow Laborer

Local Roots Landscaping is hiring Snow Laborers in Pittsburgh, PA for the December through February snow season. Pay is $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience, plus a $5 per hour bonus during snow events. You need a valid driver's license and the ability to reach our North Versailles shop within 30 minutes of a call-in, because you will be out clearing lots and walkways while the storm is still coming down.

Who You Are:

• You love physical work outdoors and can handle snow, ice, wind, and cold for a full shift.

• You are the person who answers the call at 4 in the morning and shows up on time, ready to work.

• You are the kind of teammate others want next to them in a storm.

• You bring reliable transportation, strong time management, and clear problem solving when a route goes sideways.

• You bring the strength to lift 50 pounds or more. Commercial truck experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Who We Are:

• We are a Pittsburgh landscaping company doing turn-key design, installation, and maintenance.

• We hold industry certifications and training, and we put both to work on commercial and residential properties.

• Our snow crews keep those same properties safe all winter.

What You Will Do Each Day:

• Plow and shovel parking lots.

• Clear sidewalks, walkways, steps, and pedestrian areas.

• Apply salt, ice melt, and deicing material.

• Run snow blowers and other small equipment.

• Back up the plow and salt truck crews on assigned routes.

• Work with 1 or 2 teammates to keep sites safe during storms.
