Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary About the Role We are seeking an experienced Home Inspector to join our operations team and support a growing portfolio of high-end residential properties. This role focuses on conducting detailed property inspections, assessing home condition through a luxury-guest lens, and ensuring each residence remains rental-ready at the highest standard. This position is ideal for a senior inspector or inspection professional who enjoys hands-on field work and has a strong eye for detail, documentation, and quality. Over time, this role may also support inspection standards, training, and quality review initiatives as the portfolio continues to grow. What You’ll Do Primary Responsibilities (Core Focus) • Perform detailed inspections of luxury homes to assess guest-impacting conditions, safety concerns, wear and tear versus damage, and maintenance readiness issues • Document findings clearly and professionally using company systems and required photo standards • Apply consistent judgment aligned with luxury-home expectations and brand standards • Identify maintenance items required to keep homes rental-ready • Conduct periodic deep-dive inspections on higher-value or complex properties Secondary Responsibilities (Growth & Leadership Exposure) • Support quality reviews and spot checks of inspection reports • Assist with calibration of inspection standards and documentation practices • Participate in training, mentoring, or shadowing of other inspectors as needed • Contribute insights to annual property condition and maintenance planning discussions • Serve as a resource for complex or gray-area inspection scenarios What We’re Looking For Required • 5+ years of residential inspection, property maintenance, or quality assurance experience • Strong ability to identify guest-impacting issues in high-end homes • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills • Comfort making judgment calls in gray areas • Professional, owner-facing communication style Preferred • Experience with luxury residential, hospitality, or short-term rental properties • Familiarity with inspection or work-order platforms (Breezeway or similar) • Background in maintenance, construction, or asset care • Experience assisting with training or quality oversight Why This Role • Hands-on work in high-quality luxury homes • Opportunity to influence inspection standards and quality outcomes • Exposure to asset-level decision-making and long-term property care • Competitive salary and benefits • Growth potential as the organization expands Schedule & Work Environment Combination of field inspections and light administrative work. What You Will Do Each Day • Assign work orders, route technicians, and reshuffle priorities as the day unfolds. • Keep Breezeway audit-ready, with tickets properly scoped, time-stamped, and closed with notes, photos, parts, and hours. • Chase open tickets, surface stalled work, and escalate non-performance. • Forecast parts needs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, and order within set thresholds. • Review upcoming arrivals, expedite blockers, and issue the maintenance rental ready call. • Share dispatch coverage and caretaker communication with peer coordinators.
