Appliance Repair Technician

JIC Appliance Care is hiring an Appliance Repair Technician in Holbrook, NY. Pay is $27 to $35 per hour. We need someone with one year of residential appliance repair experience and an EPA certification, or the willingness to earn one in your first 60 days. You will diagnose and fix refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other major appliances in homes across Long Island.

Who You Are:

• You are a problem solver who enjoys tracing a fault to its source and fixing it right the first time.

• You take pride in leaving a home with the appliance running and your workspace clean.

• You are a clear communicator who puts homeowners at ease and explains repairs in plain language.

• You bring strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to read schematics and technical documents, and a working familiarity with the electrical systems behind appliance operation.

• You bring at least one year of appliance repair experience (required).

• You bring a valid driver's license (required) and a clean driving record.

• You bring the strength to lift 75 pounds and handle the physical side of the work. Your own hand tools are a plus, not a requirement.

What You Will Do Each Day:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other household appliances.

• Repair electrical and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.

• Drive a company vehicle between service calls across Long Island.

• Communicate with customers about the repair process and your recommendations.

• Keep accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
