Sales Consultant - Outdoor Lighting

Position Overview

As an Experienced Outside Sales & Landscape Lighting Design Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.

This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who understands landscape lighting design principles, including fixture placement, photometrics, transformer sizing, and aesthetic integration with architecture and outdoor environments.

You will design and sell customized lighting solutions for commercial and high-end residential clients, including builders, contractors, property managers, and homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial and residential markets

• Design customized landscape lighting systems that enhance architecture, outdoor spaces, and security

• Conduct on-site consultations and present professional design recommendations

• Build and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, property managers, and homeowners

• Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations

• Prepare detailed quotes, proposals, lighting layouts, and contracts

• Collaborate with installation and project teams for seamless execution

• Attend networking events and trade shows to generate leads

• Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging lighting technologies

• Provide exceptional customer service from design through post-installation

Qualifications

• Proven B2B outside sales experience (lighting, construction, home services, or related industries preferred)

• Experience in landscape lighting design and consultative sales

• Strong understanding of uplighting, downlighting, pathway, accent, and security lighting

• Ability to translate client vision into functional, aesthetically pleasing designs

• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Self-motivated with excellent time management

• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with builders, landscape contractors, architects, or luxury residential clients
