The Opportunity: Build the Powerhouse

Phoenix Exteriors is a national leader in high-end roofing and renewable energy. As Tesla’s premier Solar Roofing partner in Chicagoland, we are moving beyond sub-contractors to build the Midwest’s most elite W-2 Internal Electrical Division.

We aren't looking for a "field tech"—we are looking for a Founding Electrical Leader to be the technical anchor of our solar division. Initially, you will be a "Player-Coach," executing high-level AC-side connections and training our crews. As we scale, you will transition into a senior leadership role overseeing the entire electrical operation.

The Mission

• License Stewardship: Serve as the Supervising Electrician of Record for Phoenix Exteriors (Chicago License).

• W-2 Team Development: Architect our internal apprenticeship program and teach roofing teams the "Gold Standard" of racking, panels, and electrical safety.

• Advanced Solar/Storage: Lead the installation of Tesla Solar Roofs, Powerwalls, SolarEdge, and Enphase ecosystems.

• Technical Operations: Take ownership of plan sets, Bill of Materials (BOM), and AHJ/Utility relationships.

• Growth Leadership: Work directly with the executive team to plan regional and national expansion.

What We’re Looking For

• The Credential: You must hold a valid Chicago Supervising Electrician License (or be capable of immediate activation/reciprocity).

• Solar Expert: 5+ years of experience with PV systems, battery storage (Tesla Powerwall preferred), and complex backup solutions.

• The "Whatever It Takes" Mindset: This is a high-growth, high-intensity role within a "sprinting" company.

• Teacher/Mentor: You enjoy developing apprentices into lead-level installers.

• System Thinker: You understand the importance of accurate BOMs and clean plan sets in a high-volume environment.
