We are seeking a Shop Foreman / Mechanic responsible for managing the company shop, equipment fleet, and maintenance operations. This role oversees the maintenance, repair, inspection, and readiness of company equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer recommendations.
The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically skilled, and capable of managing preventative maintenance schedules while supporting field operations and company projects.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Maintenance Management
Schedule and prioritize equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment both in the shop and at project sites.
Manage preventative maintenance schedules and service intervals to ensure warranty compliance.
Ensure all equipment is inspected annually or as recommended by the manufacturer.
Maintain calibration standards according to manufacturer or government regulations.
Maintain equipment records and historical files.
Equipment Oversight
Responsible for maintenance and management of:
Company vehicles and trailers
Generators
Floor grinders
Paint sprayers
Aerial lifts and boom lifts
Ladders and scaffolding
Small tools and miscellaneous equipment
Shop Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional maintenance shop.
Manage inbound and outbound equipment inspections.
Ensure idle equipment is ready for immediate deployment.
Maintain inventory of shop supplies, parts, lubricants, and materials.
Perform price comparisons and ensure accurate purchasing.
Fleet Maintenance
Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, inspections, washes, recalls, and repairs.
Project & Operational Support
Coordinate equipment fueling, repair, spare parts sourcing, and maintenance support for job sites.
Make deliveries and pick-ups at project sites as directed by the General Manager.
Support office maintenance needs (minor repairs, lighting replacement, etc.).
Administrative & Operational Duties
Maintain accurate equipment documentation and records.
Meet schedules, deadlines, and attendance expectations.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Travel
Travel throughout New Mexico and occasionally throughout the United States as required.

This position requires regular physical activity and work in varying environmental conditions.

Work Schedule
Schedule determined by the General Manager
Includes a ½ hour lunch break
Overtime may be required including evenings, weekends, and emergency situations
Work hours may change depending on operational needs
Travel may be required with advance notice whenever possible
