Pool Cleaning Assistant Manager

We are seeking a Pool Cleaning Assistant Manager to play a critical, hands-on leadership role within our pool cleaning division. This position is ideal for an experienced pool professional who leads by example, thrives in the field, and takes pride in developing technicians while maintaining exceptional service standards.

This is not a desk-only role. You will actively service pools, support technicians in real time, and ensure that daily operations run smoothly, safely, and to company standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Field & Operations Leadership

• Perform routine pool cleaning, water testing, and chemical balancing

• Troubleshoot minor pool and equipment issues in the field

• Ensure all scheduled pools are serviced accurately and on time

• Maintain accurate service documentation and field records

• Assist with route planning, scheduling adjustments, and coverage during high-demand periods

• Ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use

Technician Support & Development

• Conduct ride-alongs, field evaluations, and real-time coaching

• Support onboarding and hands-on training of new technicians

• Reinforce company standards for quality, efficiency, safety, and appearance

• Serve as a point of support for technicians encountering service challenges

Quality Control & Customer Support

• Inspect completed work and monitor service quality

• Help resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly

• Identify recurring issues and recommend process or service improvements

• Follow up on service corrections to ensure long-term resolution

Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards

• Enforce chemical handling, PPE use, and equipment safety protocols

• Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and ethical conduct

• Maintain awareness of job sites, property conditions, and maintenance needs

• Ensure compliance with departmental procedures, attendance, and performance expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 2–4 years of experience in pool cleaning, pool maintenance, or related fieldwork

• Strong understanding of water chemistry and pool equipment operation

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record

• Leadership experience (formal or informal—crew lead, trainer, senior tech, etc.)

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Experience using route management or field service applications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform physical tasks including kneeling, crouching, climbing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking for extended periods

• Willingness to adapt responsibilities based on department needs

Preferred

• CPO certification or willingness to obtain certification
