About This Role
Ascend Hospitality is hiring a Cashier (Festival and Events) in Nashville, TN, paying $18 per hour as a 1099 independent contractor. You will run the register at live festivals and events, keeping the line moving and the guest experience welcoming from the first transaction of the day to the last.

What You Will Do Each Day
Run the register, verify the drawer at the start of the day, and follow all cash handling procedures.
Greet guests, answer menu questions, and share pricing and specials accurately.
Support front of house and line prep so daily service stays on track.
Log food temperatures, rotation, and waste to keep safety standards on point.
Keep your station clean and sanitized in full uniform with handwashing and glove use.
Flag service or quality concerns to leadership so issues get resolved fast.

Requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving/decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
• Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Ideal candidate is a team player, personable, professional, upbeat and energetic, and takes initiative.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving movement and handling of boxes (10-35lbs) as necessary to the operation, which includes lifting and performing all functions as set forth above.
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Cash handling/cashier experience and register/point of sale knowledge a must
• Basic math and counting skills necessary for cash handling.
