Commercial Painting and Coating Applicator

The Dakes Company is hiring a Commercial Painting and Coating Applicator, paying $20 to $30 an hour depending on experience. You will apply interior and exterior paints and coatings, prepare and finish surfaces, and operate spray equipment on commercial construction projects. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

• You are able to read, write, and communicate in English.

• You are comfortable working at heights on boom lifts, scissor lifts, and ladders with proper safety equipment.

• You are able to lift up to 60 lbs and work with your hands.

• You have or will obtain proper safety footwear and painters' whites.

• You bring a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

• You are able to pass a federal background check and obtain a level-1 security clearance.

• You are available full-time Monday through Friday, with opportunities for nights and weekends if desired.

What You Will Do Each Day:

• Apply interior and exterior paints, acrylics, alkyds, stains, and epoxy coatings.

• Apply concrete sealers and above-grade weather-resistant and waterproof coatings.

• Prepare surfaces: cleaning, sanding, patching, priming, and masking.

• Set up, operate, and maintain spray equipment, rollers, and brushes.

• Follow project specs, safety protocols, and PCA industry standards.

• Coordinate with project managers and general contractors on-site.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times.
