This is an in-the-field team leadership role requiring a hands-on leader who will actively oversee daily operations and support the team on-site GreenWeaver Landscapes is hiring a Steward - Horticulturalist/Gardener Crew Leader in Media, PA, starting at $22 per hour based on experience. (This role will work out of Kennett Square, PA starting in June.) You will lead hands-on field work for our gardening clients and apply ecological practices that keep their properties beautiful and healthy season after season. Who You Are • You are a hands-on horticulturist who can read a property and understand what it needs • You take pride in delivering exceptional garden care and noticing the details others overlook • You are a natural leader who keeps a crew organized, focused, and productive throughout the day • You believe healthy land and beautiful landscapes belong together • You communicate clearly and professionally with both teammates and clients • You have strong knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and can safely mix, apply, and document pesticide applications • You can apply long-term ecological landscape management concepts while maintaining the original design intent of properties under care • You have experience in ecological maintenance, fine gardening maintenance, meadow management, and invasive plant management • You can identify issues and opportunities for enhancement on properties and gather information for estimates when work falls outside the pricing sheet • You have at least 2 seasons of experience with high-end horticultural maintenance and property management beyond traditional landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and shearing • You have at least 1 season of front-line supervisory experience leading a team of gardeners • You are physically capable of repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs and working long days in varying weather conditions • You have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record • You are able to commute to Media, PA before June 2026 and to Kennett Square, PA starting in June 2026 Who We Are: • GreenWeaver Landscapes designs, installs, and maintains ecological gardens and outdoor spaces • Our mission is to create beautiful, useful, and healthy outdoor spaces for people and the planet • We are guided by three core values, Quality, People, and Environmental Stewardship • We approach every property with long-term ecological thinking, not quick fixes What You Will Do Each Day: • Supervise and execute hands-on garden maintenance for contracted clients • Prioritize and delegate work across each property to maximize appeal and ecological integrity • Identify enhancement opportunities and communicate solutions to clients and the Gardening Coordinator • Mix, apply, and document pesticide applications safely • Help train and onboard new gardeners on the team • Keep trucks, shop, and job sites neat for safety and efficiency Why You'll Love Working Here: • Pay starts at $22-32 per hour, based on experience • Steward - Horticulturalist/Gardener Crew Leader role based in Media, PA and then Kennett Square starting in June 2026 • 4 weeks of accrued paid time off and holiday pay • Group health insurance • Support for professional development
